From a young age I’ve always been drawn to the ocean. It’s where the passion started. Growing up in Glenbrook Beach, the Manukau Harbour was my playground. Spent most of my time ledger rig fishing for gurnard, snapper and kahawai, and mucking around on the black sand on Kariotahi Beach while the family were longlining.
Ended up turning into a river rat down the Waikato River. Setting nets for mullet and whitebaiting off the front of the bach. Around 11 we moved up to Houhora. Whole new backyard to mess around in and the passion just blew up. Been on missions and exploring ever since.
After a few job opportunities fell through I figured id give this a proper crack. Started filming with a couple GoPros back in July 2022 and just started showing what I was already doing. Fishing, exploring and getting out there in the Far North of New Zealand.
These days I’m lucky enough to call the outdoors my job. The catchphrase has always been “Full of bust ups and no plan.” Things go wrong, you make a few mistakes, but you laugh it off and keep going. That’s just how it is, which I love.
